Medic 1 working with Cancer Research UK

Article posted 2011-02-20

It may be cold outside, but inside Medic 1 staff have started planning for this year’s Cancer Research events. They have been quick to sign up for duty and are as ever looking forward to the fun filled, but thought provoking days (and nights) assisting and cheering on all participants.

Taking part in the Race for Life is great fun, you don't have to be as fit as you imagine.  The super fit run the 5k race in the blink of an eye, but for most people it is a fun filled walk. Rather emotional at times, but with a feeling that you are doing something amazing. If you're not up to taking part, why not sponsor someone and be there at the finish to cheer people on.

As well as the race for life we also provide cover for the Relay for Life. The Relay for life was a success last year and we hope it will be an even bigger success this year, raising more money for such a good cause. Now is the time to get prepared for this event.
