For those of you who maybe new to Polo, it is a team sport, played on horseback. The aim is to score goals against the other team- a small white ball must be driven into the opposing team's goal. This is achieved by hitting the ball with a long-handled mallet.

Medic 1 staff are are looking forward to a great new event at The Celtic Manor Resort.on July 2nd "The sport of kings" will take place against the backdrop of The Twenty Ten golf course, where of course The Ryder Cup took place last year.

The teams consist of four riders and their mounts.It is a highly skilled sport that guaranteed to keep everyone entertained. This year's winning team will receive The inaugural Polo at The manor Trophy. As well as the polo there will be a champagne bar (out of bounds for us working medics!) and entertainment. It promises to be the event to be at.
