Relay for life 2010

Article posted 2010-06-26

On a glorious day at Treborth Running Track, overlooking the gorgeous Menai Straits, Medic 1 staff were proud to support Cancer Research UK's local Relay For Life. As with other Relays For Life, runners grouped in teams to run around the track for a continuous team run of 24 hours to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

With local live bands supporting the runners - who themselves were of all ages and fitness levels - it was a truly inspiring event, so much so that when some of the runners were exhausted and needed a rest Medic 1 staff were only too happy to go the extra mile - literally! - and take a few laps to help out!

It was a great event and for a worthy cause. Medic 1 has worked at other events organised to raise money for Cancer Research UK, including a recent Race For Life, in which our staff also ran to raise money. We would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the Relay for Life and look forward to seeing them at future events. Keep up the good work!
