Another scorching hot day at the BT Paralympic World Cup!  The practices over, today's events were track and field and as expected the competition was fierce!

South African star Oscar Pistorius stole the show with a fantastic T42/43/44 200m performance.  He already owns the world records and paralympic golds in the 100m, 200m and 400m competitions and defended his titles with ease.

British athlete Jonnie Peacock raced to a new British record in the T42/43/44 100m, setting a new standard of 11.32 seconds and racing to the press box to thunderous applause.

Four other world records were made today in the T36 100m, discus and Women's T42/43/44 100m.

So all in all a cracking start to the games!
