Our paediatric first aid course complies with the current Ofqual standards and is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge and skills to deal with any emergency situation that might arise while looking after children.
It is aimed at people who work with children, but would also be suitable for anyone wanting a good understanding of paediatric first aid.
Our paediatric first aid course is twelve hours taught over two days. The training is split between practical and theoretical, mixing role-play and scenarios that allow you to get plenty of practice dealing with simulated casualties with power point presentations.
The Medic 1 trainer has extended knowledge in all topics and brings in personal experiences for reflection with the students as part of the training process. During the course your Medic 1 trainer will provide you with a paediatric first aid book and a resuscitation face mask.
Assessing the situation
Administering first aid to an unconscious casualty

On completion of the course you will be issued with a Medic 1 certificate. Certification last for three years. You must undertake another Paediatric First Aid course to regain your certificate.
During the course Medic 1 will provide light refreshments. If you are travelling away from home to attend our courses we can book accommodation on your behalf. This would incur additional costs and can be arranged within a range of budgets
