Medical cover for endurance and trail events
Route cover, treatment points and ambulances for races and endurance events.
Medic 1 provides medical cover for endurance events and trail races, including routes in Eryri (Snowdonia) and other events we can reach from Llangefni. The plan follows the route, the distance and the number of runners.
What we cover
Typical requests are a start or finish treatment point, medics on the route, and an ambulance that can move with the event. Remote sections need a different plan from a city-centre race.
Crew and vehicles
We use Emergency Care Assistants, Technicians and Paramedics where needed. 4x4 response vehicles are part of the fleet when the route is off the road.
Planning and risk assessment
Send the route map, the cut-off times and the medical checkpoints you already have. We will say what extra cover is needed and where an ambulance can actually reach a runner.
